Get A Motorcycle In Paraguay

Hi guys im going to spend more than 7 months in South America.
I'd like to buy a motorcycle like 125cc in Assuncion,Paraguay and than travel around South America (i have already done this kind of trip in Asia). My idea is to buy a motorcycle in Paraguay and than cross Argentina-Chile-PerĂ¹-Bolivia-Colombia and if i'll still have time, energy and money i'd like get Mexico too.
I have few question:

What kind of documents of the motorcycle do I need before leaving the country(Paraguay)?

Can i (Once bought the bike in Assuncion and obtained the necessary documentation) cross the borders of other countries without any problems?

and could i sell the motorcycle once in Colombia, being it registered in Paraguay? or should be better sell it in Mexico?

I'm sorry for the many questions

Do a search on this site. Use Google, not the site's own search engine. Use this format: site:horizonsunlimited.com motorcycle paraguay (or choose your own search terms).

*bump* any updates? info wanted from those who have gone before!

seems this topic goes silent a lot shortly after people say they're arriving in Paraguay, is there something untoward going on in the Paraguayan vehicle registration department? are foreign bike buyers being harvested for organs?

I'm due to arrive in Paraguay to get my licence and bike in the next 10-14 days and what I'm wanting to know from anyone who's got any info is what is available there?

Are they the same chinese bikes available in Peru?

But more importantly, what other gear is available? I'd rather not ride with a plastic shopping bag with my things in, dangling from the handlebars and chinese made ice-cream container as a helmet, in my jeans and cotton jacket if I can avoid it..

I know there's Klien motos, I emailed him last week (in admittedly less than perfect but still quite functional spanish) to ask him about tank bags etc. but he has but he hasn't replied.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on something somewhere. ?c?
Cheers!

I'm not sure what it is that you're looking for, but I just did exactly the google search I suggested above and turned up a thread which reported people's experience buying bikes in Paraguay. I know there are more, because I've seen them, but I'm not willing to search them out for you.

You should also be able to find ample information on buying parts and gear, at least in CdE. Personally, having seen the quality of gear in use in South America, I'd bring my own helmet, pants, jacket, and perhaps boots (depending on what I planned to do). Stuff tends to be either really crappy quality, or really expensive.

All IMHO, of course. Hope that's helpful.

.

Yeah I've been searching the site and also the net but not really turned up any of the info I'm looking for, which was makes and models of bikes and gear there was so I could start reading up and deciding what I'd buy,
and also if I can get decent quality pannier bags, gps etc, this trip has been decided on after I arrived in south america and don't have anything at 'home' (let alone a home at all come to think of it..)

Have been using that site:horizonsunlimited.com format for searching since the other week when you suggested it, so good!

Anyway, I just found a guy selling all his gear around the time I'll be getting to PY so it's the best possible outcome, all quality stuff and all second hand, perfect!
