Does anyone know how to obtain or which organisation issues, an International Certificate for a Motor Vehicle (ICMV) for a French registered bike.

I can find nothing in the French motoring clubs sites.

Cheers,
John

Never heard of it. What is it and what do you need it for?

Its a translation of you vehicle registration/ownership documents into about a dozen languages.

They would seem to ve very usefull in Russia and anywhere else that may want to look at your vehicle papers.;

In the UK, they are available from the RAC for around £5.

Its a "standard" form that just explains what the various boxes of information are on your docs - country specific of course

Ahh, the infamous international rego document. I'd try the French Automobile Association. Try the man I mentioned in the carnet entry on the left. If they can't help you it'll have to be the Prefecture. In that case all I can say is: Bonne Chance!

As usual the French way of doing things is complicated.... asked at the Prefecture who refered me to the Carte Grise people... who refered me to the Prefecture...

The prefecture even managed to "loose" the German Brief and Schein for the bike after I registerd it here. Poor sod I bought it from in Germany is having all sorts of hassles doing his abmeldung and canceling his insurance!
