Ethiopian Visa in Cairo
 

I had heard lots of stories about obtaining the visa in Cairo, that I would have to show a return air ticket or I would be refused. This is incorrect, no problems getting this visa, the staff at the embassy are very friendly and it only took 1 hour. I took along 2 photos of the bike to show how I was travelling and photo copies of the registration and carnet and my drivers licence, I also took the precaution of getting my Kenyan visa before hand, also no problem in Cairo but that took 24 hours, also both Embassies are not where Lonely Planet say they are, also British Embassy had wrong info but they found out where the Ethiopian one was, email me if you require the addresses. For UK passport Holder the fees are $ 46 Kenya payable in either $US or Egyptian Pounds, $63 Ethiopia, payable only in $US Cash. Regards Chris
