shipping own bike Arizonaride?

Hi there, does anyone know if you would be allowed to ship your own bike from UK to US if your licence is in the A2 category (restricted) category..as long as the bike is in that category? Rentals are 21 years with full licence as I understand. thanks.

Nobody here in the US gives a crap about your restricted licence. It says motorcycle, that's good enough

100% correct. And remember, customs and immigracion officers are NOT police and don't deal with driver license's or insurance and could care less.

Police may (or may not) want to see a license of some sort but your passport is better. YOU DO NEED INSURANCE and be able to prove you've got it. So sort that before arrival. If you show USA Police a UK license it will be like ancient Sanskrit to them. Best you TELL THEM what it is ... as long as neither YOU or your bike are wanted/stolen ... you are all good. USA Insurance will ask if you have a MC license ... just say YES! NO such thing as restricted license here. A 16 year old can buy a new Hayabusa with NO TRAINING!

.... Someone might ask you why you'd waste a packet on shipping your bike over to USA when you can buy any bike for much less here than in the UK.

Uk /usa

I do know that if you import to a Canadian port of entry, Canadian cost are cheaper & US/Canadian border guards could care less as long as you have a DL & insurance.
Could save you a few Pounds, Euros or Dollars

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
