Cost to enter Honduras

If you are entering Honduras this might be useful to you. An outline of what it should cost you (photo was taken at the Nicaragua/Honduras border near the Nicaraguan town of Somoto)...

Price is in Lempira I'm guessing ?? About $.05 to a USD?

It cost each of us approx US$43.00 when we went through the Somoto border in January this year. That was for each bike. Some travellers we met later said we were robbed and shouldn't have paid more than $38.00 but most people we met paid about the same as us. Rule seems to be to avoid Sundays when rates can double. It was by far the most expensive border in Central America.

Yup on the 43$. We crossed the Honduras border in several different locations a total of about 6 or 7 times and each time it cost us 42 or 43$.
