Think I can help you. We have friends in Kiev. I have to get in touch with them through my father.
Can you drop me an email with some info and stuff. I'll forward it to my dad and let you now what he can do.
If this is an urgent thing that will be a problem. Com's go slow with the Ukraine.

I had similar problems. Ukraine isnt easy even if you have a contact. My understanding is that the contact has to travel to the local police station and register your details, guaranteeing that you are staying with them.
I was able to contact a firm who specialize in Russian and The Baltic States' visa's , unfortunately I forget how I found that site. Im not sure whether it was in the visa section on the HUBB? or I just did a simple search. Either way I didnt go to alot of trouble to find the site and they were very efficient. I have a friend in Ukraine who would be able to assist you. Contact me if you need to.
Good luck

I've been in contact with them through email. They respond quite quick and I have a friendly impression.

Russian Visa Online ( http://www.VISAtoRUSSIA.com/ ) and other Russian visa specialists seem to handle visa invitations for Ukraine and CIS nations . This may be easier than finding an individual to sponsor you. $45 for tourist visa invitation at the site above.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
