Carnets in Europe?

Do I need a carnet for Europe with a Hong Kong registered bike? Please let me know

Dave Milligan 7 Jan 2008 04:05

No. No bike or car needs a Carnet for the EU countries of Europe.

Carnets for which countries

As Dave replied already: no carnet necessary for Europe. Click on the following link to show you the countries that expect carnets: http://www.adac.de/images/L%C3%A4nde...tcm8-80801.pdf

Unfortunately only in German, but if you scroll down the states are marked YELLOW which require a carnet. For the GREEN countries a carnet basically isn't necessary, but simplifies temporary imports.

where indeed it says that you need a carnet for most of SA countries, except Brazil not required.
