Carnets Exports and Imports.... Question
Hello Guys,
As I know one/two/three... of you clever clogs will know the answer I thought I'd ask a question here before trying to figure it out the hard way. I'm considering a trip of several two to three week journeys by motorcycle from the UK that will hopefully take me around the world. I would like to leave my motorcycle in countries on route, fly home and then return a few months later and move on continuing with my trip. Is it possible or legal to leave a vehicle in a country for a short while whilst I'm not there? How could this work with Carnets imports and exports? Also do people here use carnets for their personal photographic and video kit? And... Whats the most cost effective and hassle free way to obtain carnets? So many questions, sorry...

Is it possible or legal to leave a vehicle in a country for a short while whilst I'm not there? How could this work with Carnets imports and exports?
* In most African countries, yes, as long as your CDP or your TIP is valid. Dunno about Far East or SA. Also do people here use carnets for their personal photographic and video kit? *CDP only covers your bike/car/accessories, not photo/video equip. And... Whats the most cost effective and hassle free way to obtain carnets? *There is only one way: RAC in UK or the equivalent AA in other countries, for the £££ details check the many relevant threads here in the HUBB..
