Carnet Questions and euro green card on nz registered vehicle?
 

Hello,

Hope you guys can help me out with some quires i have that i couldn't find any answers for. I'm in the planning stages of a trip from Cape town to London in my New Zealand registered VW beetle (I know, sorry it's not a bike!). I'm aware of how the carnet works, however i'm a UK citizen and will be moving back to the Uk at the end of the trip and would like to keep the car once I get back. As the UK doesn't need a Carnet i presume this will be ok pprovided i have all the stamps from the required countries?

Also, is it possible to get green card insurance for europe, being a UK resident not in the UK with a New Zealand registered vehicle?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
