carnet egypt

Hi all,
I would like to know if anyone has already experience to bring a vehicle from europe preferably (italy) with a ferry to Alexandria. What is needed to keep the car/bike at least 6 months in the country. Dramas to get in? Costs to high? Thank you very much for your kind cooperation if you share your experience.

The ferry to Egypt hasn't been running for several years.

You need to ride through TR, Syria & Jordan, then take the ferry to Egypt.

You need a carnet de passage and lots of patience.

Use the search function, there are lots of stories about it on the HUBB.
