Carnet de Passages en Douane neccessary for Morocco?

Hi. From what I have read I do not need a Carnet de Passages en Douane for Morocco, but if anybody knows of conflicting updates, please tell me! I want to spend 3 to 4 months in Morocco, so do I just get a Temporary Import Visa at the Moroccan border? Are there any costs involved to get the Temporary Import Visa? And, is it valid for as long as your Tourist Visa is valid?
Thanks, and look forward to finally finding this out!

Welcome to the HUBB.

There's no need for a carnet. You need to complete a temporary importation form but you can do this in advance, see Complete your temporary import forms online before you leave - ::. UKGSer.com .::

You are allowed up to six months in any one year with a vehicle, if you are planning on three to four months make sure you let the customs know BEFORE they stamp your forms.

There some basic information on Morocco in the knowledgbase in my signature. If you are thinking of some offroad routes you should take a look at Chris Scott's Morocco Overland.
