Carnet de Passage. How to get?
Hi
I want to travel to Iran by car but nobody in Russia know where can I get the Carnet de Passage. Does anybody know can I bye this carnet anywhere outside Russia and how much does it cost? As I read here it is possible to enter Iran without carnet and it costs 100-200 USD. It seems too expensive for me. Thank you in advance. Vladimir

If you are not going beyond Iran, and for your travels only require the carnet for Iran, it is probably cheaper to pay the $100-250 and forget the higher cost and hassle of the carnet.

Hi, if you have been quoted $100 to $200 that would mean your car is valued at $1 as when I went to Iran they wanted a deposit of 200% of the value of the bike I used which was valued at £500GB. The deposit is supposed to be refundable upon exporting the vehicle again.
