By seaway to peru - carnet needed?

Hi out there!

I found a shipping company which can transport my bike very cheap from south korea to Callao, Peru.

I know this has been discussed a lot of times, but...

As many people say that you don`t need a carnet for south america except for ecuador, i would like to know if anybody ever has arrived in Peru by plane or ship? I know of people arriving in Chile, Argentina, Brazil and so on, but i did not found any first-hand information about arriving in Peru!

Thanks for any information

Marco

Hi Marco,
I know this is an old thread but I too need to know the reality of getting a bike in to peru via callo with or with out a carnet.
Has anyone done this recently? We ship the bike in 4 weeks and still deciding on a carnet.
Thanks

carnet de passage

Hi guys,

For Peru, comming over land you don't need a carnet de passage, so I don't thing you ll'need it if you come by plane or ship.

For Ecuador, you don't need a carnet de passage, neigther for anyother land in Latin Amerika.

Kiss the ride!

Ils
