Bikes already EPA certed?

Hey guys, we are shipping our 2 Bajaj Chetak scooters to Alaska in August and were just wondering if we would need EPA paperwork. These bikes are 150cc 4-Strokes, were made in India and sold in the US. These particular models I believe were imported to New Zealand from the US. Either way, they already have the EPA certification stickers in place. They did have metal certfication plates on the exhausts but these rattled notoriously so most people pull them off. I have one, unattached but not the other. Will we be OK rocking up and showing whoever wants to know the stickers on the bikes?

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

I've been looking at the EPA form and there are different codes applicable for different types of import. Code "B" is for an "unmodified vehicle bearing a US EPA emission control label..." which our bikes have, the other code that also seems applicable is the code "O" "import for a non-resident for personal use by an individual for a period up to a year. EPA letter of approval must be attached." Code "O" seems more like our scenario since we are non-residents, but implies we need an EPA approval letter. I wouldn't thionk this would be too hard to obtain considering our bikes have already been certed.....any ideas?

EPA letter for temporary import is easy, and their granting it has nothing to do with the kind of approval necessary to import a bike permanently. Just jump through the hoop.
