bike insurance in africa, for those not in COMESA yellow card
Hi all.
I’m heading Cairo to Cape Town this January and am planning on getting a COMESA yellow card insurance for the journey. However apparently the first place to buy it is Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. I was wondering how much is it to buy insurance at the border for Egypt, North Sudan and Ethiopia, until i get the green card. Also same for Namibia, Botswana and South Africa, as they arent in COMESA. An help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the advice. i will probably end up just seing if i can get away without it.
Looking at you blog i see the insrance side of things is not too bad, i will most likely try and get away without it until i get a green card. really useful link, thanks for your help.
