Hi Rols n Mel - I'm in a similar boat but looking for coverage in the middle east. Companies in oz basically laughing at me on the phone.

I'd be keen to hear how you go, and if its not too rude, how much Tourinsure charge you. I requested a quote from them last week, but haven't heard anything back yet.

cheers DamoC

TourInsure premium/ charges are listed on the pdf applications on the
TourInsure.de website, for those regions that TourInsure offers cover.

The "middle east" is not listed as a covered region on the website, 'tho
perhaps TourInsure offers cover there on application (?).

One, of many, things I'm finding tricky to find out is which companies will insure our bike (not the Green Card insurance, the actual bike) while it is overseas. Does anyone know of any Australian or OS companies that deal with such insurance? Would appreciate a point in the right direction, particularly from anyone else from Oz who did this. Thanks!
Hey Mel iam planing a visit to europe on my australian registered bike and i was woundering how did you go with getting a green card to cover your bike over there, did you apply from australia or get it when you arrived there?
Any feed back would be greet Cheers.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
