Bike insurance in Australia
Hi from Canada. We have motorcycles we keep in Australia. Try this site for information. www.ezyreg.sa.gov.au or www.transport.sa.gov.au . These sites are for insuring in South Australia. Hope it helps you. My husband is hoping to get there again this winter. Beth

Western QBE insurance
I have my R1200gs insured with these guys. They are Australia wide. The premium my bike being insured for AUS$ 20,000 is AUS$437.00 for 12 months. Their website is
QBE Australia Motorcycle Division Enquiries to 1800 243 464. I'm unsure what they will think of your danish registered bike though. Send them an email to find out. Regards Bigfoot. Townsville North Queensland Australia.

Help....
Thanks for the replies...
But - haven´t really gotten anywhere... Looking for riders who have used their own bike (non-aussie-reg.) for travelling in Aus - that is, shipped it to Aus - and figured out how to get a third party insurance for the bike??? Thanks... GSDane.

Try this website:
http://www.ipe.nt.gov.au/whatwedo/mv...07-2006-03.pdf Bsically it says that your Danish rego and 3rd party insurance is valid as you are a "visitng vehicle". The website is for the Northern Territory but I think all the other states would be the same. |

And here's another one which explains 3rd party insurance more comprehensively.
