Anyone applied for a Russian Business visa in from Canberra?

I am trying to get a Russian business visa from the embassy in Canberra, I can't work out if I need to provide the original LOI or if a scanned copy will suffice?

Time constraints are a problem at this stage so getting the LOI from Russia to Canberra will be an issue.

Anyone out there got one from Canberra before?

I got mine from Canberra.

I sent the original LOI, and I think for the business visa you need to do that.

The firm that got the LOI sent it to me by courier and I think it took about 4 or five days to get here (Victoria) is that too short? If it is then you can only hope the scanned copy works and that you don't loose your money! Big risk though.

Could your travel firm still send it to the embassy by Telex or is that too late?

Hi
I got my business visa through an agent in Sydney. Can't remember name off hand but will look up if you're interested...very efficient. I have no idea if they sent original LOI but they would know the answer to your question
if you want name send private email as I may not look up this post again,

Bugger.

Do you reckon if I apply with a scanned copy and they want the original I can just get that sent to the embassy?

Or will they send everything back and i'll have to re-submit?

My best guess is that they will want the original, but it's only a guess.

Who knows what the Embassy will do?? ask for it, send it all back??

Get the agency to courier it out to you ASAP. It costs but then you have the piece of mind.

What's the timing on all this??
