Angola, DRC, Letters of Invitation
 

Hi, I'm riding back to the UK from RSA through the west side of Africa (Angola, DRC, and Congo) and I require a letter of invitation in order to obtain my visas for Angola and DRC.
Does anyone have experience of obtaining such letters prior to setting off (I'd rather do it this way than make detours on the way to embassies/consulates etc) contrary to opinion the guys at the Angolan embassy were quite friendly, but adamant that I had to have the letter.
If so can they point me in the right direction.

Ja i'm really interested in any info as I am planning the trip but the other way around (N to S). Any one out there?
ps:wonder whether having a SA passport counts against one at the angolan entry?
