Trans-Am Trail USA Tennesee to Oregon

Hellos
I am planning on riding the www.transamtrail.com during the month of June 2002. I wondered if there was anyone else out there doing the trip around the same time.

When I asked when and where, I meant when are you going and where are you starting and ending. I will be back from Grant's in mid June and won't be leaving for Trenton until around July 6th or 7th. I would be in for a week or so in between. I'm retiring next week and I think it is going to wear me out! So many trips, so little time.

Sam is not the fastest at responding to emails. I think he has a lot of things going on. Plus I am sure he gets lots of questions about the trail.
The roll charts for the trip are $414 for the whole trip. You can request a info packet from him. It has all the details.
I am planning on leaving in June. I would welcome the chance to travel with someone else though.
I will be updateing my web site www.trailscout.com with stuff as I go.
Cheers my fellow adventure traveler!

great, thanks for the info. I'll have to drop him a letter, or call him or such. I wont be able to leave till about the time you are done. Also I am riding a honda ct90 so wont be covering ground at such a fast rate as a 650. I'll look for your tire tracks though.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
