Europe for a month (starting 14-July12)

Hi folks,

I'm off to Europe (starting in 14th July) for a month and will be wild camping most of the time or campsite/cheap B&B.

Tentative Route -London>Calais > Benelux (Ardennes) > Germany (Black Forest) > Switzerland & Austria (Alps) > Italy (Lakes & Tuscany) > France (Provence) > N. Spain(Pyrenees) > Bordeaux & back.

Anyone doing the same / part of the route would like to join me?

So below is the route -
Bd de l'Égalité to A16 - Google Maps
still flexible though - (just want to get out of London)

Simon, (slight change from what I mentioned earlier, had to leave Germany out - next year perhaps)

Tim, I would most probably be around N/Spain at that time too...
(might visit a friend in Saragossa)

Are you doing Pyrenees?

This is my plan so far: ( similar in parts to yours )

28th July catch Eurotunnel early ish morning. 8am+/_ head for Nice via a stop Lake Geneva and through Alps to arrive Nice area late afternoon 1st August. Camping all the way , anywhere..........

2 Aug Collect a friend (may need to hire car, he don't do bikes! ) spend day at La gorge du Verdon. Return to nice area (dump car)

Head for N Spain morning of 3rd August. After that on to Pyrenees, and then head south as far as time allows. Allowing time to be home by 11/12th Aug.

My main constraint is 1st-2nd Aug meeting up with friend near Nice, he has booked a day off and will be miffed if I don't turn up!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
