USA to S. America-leaving in Sept. '04

Hi everyone,
I am leaving the USA around the middle of the month of September, 2004 via the Baja, planning to travel thru Mexico to Central/South America . My plans are flexible and my route is very open to change. Is anyone headed south? I would like to make Ushala for the New Year's celebration(if there is one) but even that is a question. I will carry camping gear and cooking equipment. I am riding an 1983 BMW R80 G/S-ST.
I made it to the Arctic Circle this summer via the Demster Highway and now plan to go south. Anyone headed that way? I will be at my house in Wisconsin for 2 weeks before I start south. I need to get my Works Performance rear shock rebuilt in the Los Angeles area before I leave and I plan to stop in and see Al Jesse(Arizona) to have my bag frames looked over so I will be in those areas as well. I would appreciate any company especially for the Central American portion of the trip.
Let me know your plans. Bill.

Hi Bill,
I'm heading south to the HU gathering in Copper Canyon for mid October and then heading south all the way to Brazil...about 4.5-5 months. I am planning to travel with at least one other HU member. If your time line permits, there will be others traveling south from HU Copper Canyon in mid October. You can email me directly at torrias@hotmail.com to chat.

Best regards,

Torria (Ms)

Hi Bill and all others, I'm due to fly into Vancouver on the 22nd Sep and then head south. I intend to go via a couple of the US national parks and hope to get to the Copper Canyon meet before carrying on to TdF. I also will be carrying camping gear but have a medicinal need for beer each evening so if you are after company check the bars from CC south. I will be on a BMW R1200GS, new bike, old rider.

g'day Bill,

My wife Dianne and I are riding a Harley down to Ushuaia for the new year's celebrations.

We enter Mexico tomorrow 15th sept 04 and will probably enter Guatemala around the end of Sept.

Perhaps we can hook up.
