Urgent: Kyrgyzstan - China - Tibet - Laos - May 2014 - Companions wanted!
 

Hello spontaneous overlanders!

We are a German couple traveling in a Landcruiser, currently looking for someone to share costs for a China self-drive transit, entering from Kyrgyzstan (Torugart), via Kashgar, Tibet, Yunnan, and exiting through Mohan to Laos. Plan B would be to enter from Mongolia, but we prefer KYG.

Our timeframe for entering China would be this May and we are looking at a transit time of 3 to 4 weeks.

We are in contact with a Chinese agency, however any recommendation towards 'cheap' providers are highly welcome.

If you are looking for a spontaneous trip through China, this is your chance :) Drop us a message in the next two to three weeks, as time is running low!

PS: This is attempt no 2 as we were the first ones to be denied entry into China last October, although everything had been set up months before, so our Landcruiser had to be left behind in Kyrgyzstan and is currently being deep frozen... :(

we are also entering China in late May via Torugart Pass, but we intend to exit to Hong Kong instead. Our route is also more "off the beaten track", going through the rural areas that are seldom visited by Western overland tourists. Please check your PM for details:)
