same here

Ian,

You can read the hole story in KTM Alex' post (Africa, east route)where you've replied to.
To keep it short; I want to meet up somewhere along the way to!

Cheers,

Arthur

Hmmm... I could well be tempted by this trip!! I was thinking about heading off around Scandinavia and Russia for a month or two, but going the whole way down to South Africa could be absolutely awesome....

Time to check the bank balance and see if it's really feasible.

How much do you reckon it will cost?

about the money; well I think it depends on what you are willing to spent first of all. And number two, the 'variabel' costs are different for everyone ( got a bike? prepared bike? got a tent? or do you need to buy all this? etc)

My TOTAL budget is around 10K, in Euro's that is (approx 6 months travelling). But next time I don't have to buy and prepare a bike, panniers, tent, sleeping bag, stove etc etc.

Hope it's enough for me.... But to me it's a sport to find everything as cheap as possible (bike parts).

Cheers!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
