UK to Oz late 2009

Hi, Anybody interested in accompanying an old GS Adventure rider from the UK to Darwin and beyond? Leaving the UK anytime after mid-September 2009.
Route: London to Istanbul with some sightseeing on the way.
Turkey: Istanbul, Gallipoli, the West coast, Antalya, Ankara, Cappadocia, the Black sea coast, Lake Van then cross into Iran on the Van - Khoy road - can previous travelers help with information on whether this is a good point to cross from Turkey into Iran or is there a better place to cross?
Iran: Lake Orumiye, Tabriz, the Caspian sea coast, Tehran, Ali Sadr Caves, Hamadan, Shiraz, Persepolis, Yazd, Kerman, Bam. Crossing into Pakistan at Taftan.
Pakistan: Quetta, Karachi (Seaview Beach), Lahore (Badshahi Masjid mosque). Crossing into India, Amritsar.
India: (being researched)
Nepal: Kathmandu, Mt. Everest. Airfreight the bikes to Vietnam, Laos or Thailand.
Ride to Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia and ship the bikes to Darwin.
Bob.

sounds interesting,

and the most interesting thing is that you want to do this with a cb 250.
give me some more specs about that bike, which year, bhp and so on.
the problem on china is that you must pay a person from the chinese authorities that tavell with you all the time on your way through china. and they must be realy expensive. and they have a eye on you, so that you can't go where ever you want.
so it will also be a problem to go over turkmanistan uzbekistan tajikistan china.
so you have to opinions. pay a lot of money or fly with the bike to kambodcha or laos.
but it will be interesting to travel with you. beacause i don't want to do this with a 50 year old guy (i think the interests are to different). and on the other side my english will get much better.
if you wan't you can contact me under nico@asoft-ackermann.de

cheers nico
