UK to OZ July 2011
 

Planning to drive a Toyota 78 series Troopie camper with pop top back to OZ starting in July 2011 via Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Mongolia, China, Laos, Thailand etc etc. Could be good to have company from Latvia / Russian border through to Laos border? Expect to spend August in Russia, September in Mongolia and October in China. Will be in SE Asia for about 3 months.
Originally planned to drive the other way, but currently shipping car back from Oz as it works better for us. I'm 50 and my wife is 47 .....

Can anyone suggest some nice areas/places en route in Russia? or even places to avoid?
