Uk to india
 

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and at present considering a trip overland by motorcycle to india from the uk starting in October. The route I am planning is through Europe,Turkey ,Iran ,Pakistan into India and then touring around India for about 3 months before shipping my bike back home. I am interested to find anyone male or female who would be up for sharing the experience from anywhere along the route into India. I realise there are security risks in Baluchistan at present which are changing on a daily basis so may consider the northern route, although from what I can make out it may not be possible this time of year so really fancy the trip through Pakistan. Would be interested to hear any up to date info from anybody who has travelled this route or might be interested to hook up if you are going this way around October 2014. Any other info would be gratefully appreciate.

Turkey will be getting very cold especially in the east with possible snow. Still should be doable but keep an eye on the weather. Not sure how long you will take to reach India but Ladakh in the north will be closed off in the winter. I think the roads don't open til April? But the rest of it should be great weather. Yh I'm planning to ride to India next year as well (although I'm planning to leave in March/April), and wanna take the Iran - Pakistan route. Like you say there are some serious security issues there at the moment and I wondered if anyone had any new information on travelling there or had been through there recently??
