UK to Ghana September 2009
Hello all,
In late September I will be riding my R1100GS from the UK (South Coast) to Ghana in West Africa. I will be visiting a charity based in NE Ghana that I am involved with. I will be taking the following route: France/Spain, Morocco, W.Sahara, Mauretania, Mali, Burkino Faso, the usual route, no off-roading (unless I have to). I plan to take about 4-5 weeks. I will spend about 1 month in Ghana, then ride home (just like going to Tescos). It will be a mixture of camping and cheaper hotels, and I will be doing a bit of site-seeing on the way down. You are welcome to hook up with me if you want. Please drop me a line if you are interested. Ben.

down to ghana
leaving uk sept 2nd portsmouth- santander slowly down spain camping waiting for ramadan to finish (20th Sept) then moroc mauri, mali, bukini faso, ghana camping / cheap accom (not grotty) ride a prepared 600 honda transalp will then tour togo, cote da ivoria, senegal etc, and back to uk no time limit .
would be pleased to meet up with other/s from time to time riding together or for drink no serious offroad, dirt roads only when no other choice No rush just enjoyment fit retired experieced long distance biker have lived in developing world in past no what to expect without being a sage
