This trip is mostly inspired by Mondo Enduro and Terra Circa, so wild camping and low budget are key themes. Currently have one mate who is up for it, but no-one else has the time or money (6 month trip does kinda mean throwing away much of your life). Ideally would like a group of 4.

Only essential requirements of anyone interested are a large pair of balls, a good sense of humour, and a willingness to live life in a simple manner.
I'm planning asimilar trip, although we shall ride east through Russia from Latvia to Irkutsk, down to UB then west through Mongolia. Returning through the 'Stan's' over the Pamir Highway.

if you still need someone for the trip I would be very interested, I've been itching to get out and travel, I was thinking of doing a round the world trip but money is a problem, I think if properly planned it would cost around £10,000 on a buget

I'm in!!!!!

Hiya Nath,
Well I just might be in if you'll have me. I've ridden from Alaska to central mexico. I've been learning Russian and have a prepped and ready KLR650. I own a tattoo studio over here in ireland so time is not a problem. if you guys are serious i can fly over to the U.K to meet with you. I am in Ireland right now and waiting for my bike to arrive from th U.S. Do you have Visas organised? I have a U.K pasport so I wouldn't be making life more complicated ....anyway let me know ASAP. I can phone you if its a serious option for you.

Thanks a ton
Wayne

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
