UK to Central Asia and beyond - by 4x4 - leaving now!
Hi!
We are a couple leaving the UK tomorrow (!) for a six month jaunt East, in our 4x4. Planned route is: France, Germany, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan - and then hopefully Mongolia. Great trip through West and East Europe, and Ukraine. Enjoying a couple of cold ones in Astrakhan in Russia before crossing into Kazakhstan on Monday. Central Asian Stans have been good so far... Currently in Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan waiting for a new Kazakh visa. Will then spend a few weeks in Kyrgyzstan, before a blat North through Eastern Kazakstan to Russia and the journey East again. Will be headed to UB in Mongolia - but not decided which route yet. As ever, if ya wanna meet up on the road to share a cold one... Mark & Cheryl |
