Turkey to Ireland.
 

:thumbup1:I am in Turkey presently in Alanya, Travelled from Ireland a week ago and planning staying for another few weeks, Then heading back on my way here i came via Italy/Greece by ferry and crossed into Turkey near Ipsala, was looking for suggested route for travelling back to Ireland, or if there is anyone travelling this direction in the next few weeks, I want to stay clear of Snow if possible as I had a few falls in the snow on my way here.

Anyway, I think the best thing to do at this time of year is to stay out of the hills, never mind the mountains - get a route that is as close as possible to the coast, so that you are as near sea level as possible and you have the salt water effect on the weather/climate i.e. less chance of snow actually falling (but not impossible)!
Fortunately, most countries have coastal roads, many with scenic views.

if you have CdP and time you can go to Syria, Jordan, Egypt and all through the North Africa from esat to west and when you are in Morocco head up to north to Spain and you know then...

Yes I had a look at that route but do not have a carnet ! I had a few accidents on my way here in Snow ! so want to have good roads on way homw :cool4:
