Am always up for blast thru' Morocco pistes

Hi - I live in Spain (Alicante) and am usually available for any offroad adventures thru Morocco. I ride KTM 640 and prefer mostly off-road. I have ridden a fair bit in Morocco. If anyone ever fancies some company let me know. I always travel Almeria - Nador.

All the best Grizzly12

Hi Peter, I live in a Javea, Alicante and the port of Almeria is still 4/5 hours drive away. I usually get someone to drive my pickup down with us so I put the bike in the back, they then act as a support vehicle in Morocco and also means we do not have any long boring tarmac to get in out of Morocco. Let me know exactly what your plans are. Regards David.

Morocco Bound

Hi David,

I am based in Madrid, and was looking to do some pistes in Morocco on either the week of 1st to 7th May or the week 8th to 14th of May. I ride a Tenere 660. Let me now if the dates are good for you.

Brendan

Hi Brendan - I am waiting for dates that my son will be on vacation from from Uni in UK in April/May as he wants to come as well. I will keep this thread up to date with plans and dates. If dates fit maybe we could get something together. We don't like tarmac and try to do mainly pistes. Regards David

It's a make it up as we go along thing.

I'm not booking anything in advance so accomodation is what ever we find at the end of the day.

Going on HD MT350s with a couple of other bikes, I know some riders are looking for an easier life than others so the group may split up during the day and meet back up in the evening.

Never been to Morocco so is a Voage of discovery

I have traveled a fair bit in Morocco, if you are looking to do as much off road as possible unless you are prepared to spend some nights camping you will have to stick to some of the shorter pistes / routes. It all depends how much ground you want to cover and the determination of the riders and reliability of the bikes. Sounds interesting though, what are you expecting from the adventure?

Hi Grizzly12, I want to stay off tarmac as much as possible. I don't want to interrupt a family gathering, but if you are ok with another rider tagging along, please do let me know your dates.

Morocco Bound

Hi Grizzly,

Never been to Morocco on a bike before though I have visited. It will be my first long range tour on an adventure bike. I am reasonably capable off-road though as I grew up on dirtbikes. I have travelled some of Africa in 4x4s, Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi etc. If you are looking for a helpful Arabic speaker, that's not me! I can change tyres/engine oil/cables etc though and won't be too much of a drag on you guys even though your bikes are way lighter than mine. Have done bike tours in Europe, but all on road bikes. Looking forward to the proposed dates.

Brendan
