Travel plans for 2004
 

Greetings to everyone,
I am planning to end my job in March 2004 and then travel in North and South America for about 18 months. My rough plan is to start the trip with Daytona and then head for the American Southwest and follow the snow north to Alaska, cross Canada and visit Newfoundland and Nova Scotia before heading south in the early fall. I have a house in Wisconsin that might be useful as a base of operations for part of the trip. I am 58 years old and a biker for 40 years. I am a registered nurse and a good mechanic especially on airhead BMW's. I would be willing to hook up with anyone going in my general direction and would appreciate the company. Does anyone have similar plans for traveling.

Just responding to your post.
I will be traveling from San Diego, to Alaska, via the South West and Colorado. Planning on ferry hopping back the Inland Passage.

Total time taken would be about 1 month. Would like to take longer, but this all that work allows.

Seems like we might have a bit in common, I too am a registered nurse. Presently living on Maui. Let me know what your plans might be. It would be great to have someone to power up to Purdhoe Bay.
