Trans Canada and the Pan American highway
 

Hi iam flying my bike into Toronto on June the 5th,then i will be heading out to Nova Scotia on the east coast the plan is to cross Canada to the west coast,then north to Prudhoe Bay then the long ride down to Tierra Del Fuego.I have plenty of time as iam not due back to the UK untill the end off March 2010,it would be fantastic to hear from anybody with similar plans . Hi trooper, i amdoing a similar trip, although i am already in Canada, i arrived from london a month ago, i have bought, registered and insured a new bike, and will hopefully start my trip upto Alaska in the last week of june, we had 10" of snow here last night, but was out all day yesterday on my bike, it is so different from the uk, and the people are very friendly you will have a great time. Give me a shout when you arrive, will meet up for a beer, i too am looking to meet people on the road and have already made some good friend's via the hubb and adv rider, i look forward to meeting you.

Trooper,

Give us a shout when you get close to the Yukon. I may be able to give you some ideas about areas of interest. Camping, things and places to see. I have traveled the route you are planning but in reverse from South America to Canada (home) so might be able to help with any questions you might have.

I am thinking of a similar trip but was going to do it the other way round, i live not far from you if u fancy meeting up to chat about trips.

I'm leaving western Canada heading south in August. Rough time frame is Mexico by Sept, Ecuador by Oct, Peru, Chile, Arg. in Nov/Dec TDF by year-end, then spend more time in some places (mostly Chile, Peru, Ecuador) on way back. Want to be back in Canada by June 2010.

Hi, Im from CHile and because of my work (that I hate) I can't go to far on my bike, but if you will be here in Chile on my vacation period (jan-feb 2010) maybe I can join you on your "going down" trip from Santiago to I don't know where in the south. I also know many beautifull tracks from Arica to Puerto Montt, and I will try to travel more to the south in that period (jan-feb 2010). I ride a KLR650

Hey, im leaving Prince Rupert, BC early June +/- the 6th going to St-Johns, NL. Returning for august, either gonna hit up the great North on the way east and if it's still too chilli, will take the northern route on the way back. Will visit each province and territory, doing 2 months of work when I get back, and then taking off for Argentina following the pacific.

Im riding a 08 klr, hope to see you guys on the road!

I left a bit earlier, already on the road in Quebec now.. spending over a week here, then towards the maritimes, heading for Newfoundland. First stop fredericton then Sydney NS. Hope to see some of you guys on the road, was riding with a friend, now doing the rest of the eastern ride on my own. Going to head back to BC for June 9th.
