Trans Amazon Highway

In mid May I'll attempt to cross this infamous ex highway in Brasil. Any info greatly appreciated. I'm in the search for partners in crime as well.

Hello,
If you pass through Rio Grande do Norte, stop off for a visit in Praia da Pipa 1 hour south of Natal....I am leaving for Mexico on the 4 of may (by air) but if you pass before it would be nice to meet a fellow traveler...
