Ride in the Alps end of August....

A bit last minute.... have a spare week and my girlfriend said ...go for a ride.....aaarrrr.... ok.
I'm looking at a week in ether Switzerland or Italy 3rd or 4th week of August... a bit of camping and B&B's and some very twisty roads.....

open for good ideas.

If anyone is interested to come or will be in the area for a beverage let me know.

I'm based in the Netherlands
Cheers
Steve

Hi Dave,

Work leave pushed me to the week of 18th -23rd.
I'm camping in Luxembourg with friends for the weekend of 16th/17th leaving from there on Sunday afternoon.
The plan has been loosely based riding down through the black forest, then across to Italy - Stelvio ( MUST DO) then through Trentino from there I'm thinking of heading into Slovenia, Ausitria, Germany -Nurburgring, then Back to the towering heights of the Dutch Mountains

That is the rough idea for now - Subject to change at the first intersection!
So Dave i think i might pass you on the way home!

Hi Dave,

I've just heard from someone who might also be interested but also in the last week of August. I'll speak to the boss tomorrow and see what happens....

I'd be looking at camping and the odd cheap B&B

I've PM'd my email address to you.

Euro Trip

Just got back from our first long distance tour, 3000 miles in 12 days. Looking at doing Alaska to Argentina next year so this was a kind of test run, did France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Black Forest and home. Would recommend anyone to do the alpine passes we didn't book any accommodation, just turned up without much trouble. Wish we back there.
Enjoy the ride!

Graham & Sue
