Mexico - Costa Rica maybe in December

Funny how things work out. Done Costa Rica to Colombia, Costa Rica to Peru, and now planning Mexico to Costa Rica in December - Feb or March. May go all the way to Ushuaia.
Anyone planning a liesurely trip around then
Baja maybe - Copper Canyon for sure - San Cristobal/Palenque/Agua Azul - Tikal - on thru El Salvador and Nicaragua - a few weeks maybe in Costa Rica and Panama.....

Hey Zig

What date in December are you contemplating leaving and where from? What bike are you riding on this trip?

Zig I will be in the South of Mexico mid December and will do a little wonder.
I didn't do much justice to CR and Honduras on my last foray, I intend to rectify this. I want to do Belize too.
I am pretty much my own person but would not mind riding together if our goals and styles match.
I am on a vintage R80G/S with PD kit.
Cheers

I rode my bike to Florida from Nova Scotia and re-uniting with it in last part of Dec. . Will probably hit the Mexican border just before New Years. Have ridden mostly solo in parts of Africa and SE Asia but would welcome some company through Central America. Heading south, maybe to Argentina, not necessarily TDF as I have lots of arctic time and don't need to see that stuff anymore.

Intros: Howdy gents -- also headed south, but a month or so behind you guys, in late January. Zig, I'm also a Santa Fe inmate, and we'll be launching from Santa Fe. Destination is Buenos Aires, sometime near the end of April.

I'll be on a 1200gs (yellow mule) accompanied by the most delightful "accessory" -- my daughter on her f650. We'll be shooting through Mexico pretty quickly to meet some folks in Guat and then some other folks in CR, but from then on things will be "planned" one day at a time. Will keep an eye out for you guys...and if you see a father/daughter combo along the path, be sure to pass your howdies!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
