Thai Cambodia Lao
 

Hi there,
is there anybody riding around the area at the moment or within the next three months?
I'm actually heading to the three pagoda pass, before back to Ayuthaya, Lop Buri, Bangkok then Cambodia, from mid-feburary. Siam Rep, Phnom Penh, then along the Mekong get into Lao till Luang Phrabang. Back in Thai from golden triangle, on secon half of March, riding down to Phuket, heading to Malaysia and Indonesia.

Hi there,

I am currently in Kanchanaburi, heading to Ayuthaya in 2 days and then Bangkok. A friend is visiting for 2 weeks, so around the 20th Feb I wanted to ride up North to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and cross over to Laos then Cambodia and back to Thailand.

i'm just in thong pha phum, 120 north of kanchanaburi. went today at three pagoda pass to the burmese border. i'll be in kanchanaburi tomorrow evening; at my house guest house, then i'll move to ayutthaya on monday. so we're on the same route; get in touch tomorrow nite? i ride an Harley...

Excellent stuff! I want to go for a ride to the 3 pagoda pass tomorrow (already today). I am staying at the T&T Guesthouse. I'll see you tonight for some beers.

Will be in Phnom Penh Feb 16 and again on the 21/22.

thanx for your replay expatsteve, i'll be still in thai at that date as i've change my plan. i'll ride to north thai and lao first then get into cambodia as someone told me about hassles to get in lao from cambodia.

Hi Donato!

Does that mean you're heading our way?! Emily and I are in northern Thailand at the moment. We're in Pai right now, and will head to Mae Hong Son in the next few days, then back to Chiang Mae. We're going to do the Golden Triangle and Nan etc before heading into Laos and then Cambodia.

Let us know when you get up here and we'll meet up!

yes, so it seems. i changed my mind about the route after i've heard on trouble to get into laos from cambodia. so, i'll ride clockwise like anybody else!
i'm currently in ayutthaya. tomorrow i'll be back in bkk as i have to be at my embassy on tuesday the 8th to pick up a new passport. by the way: you wrote about the month emily had to wait to get a new one from british embassy. well, when i was in the bunga bunga embassy they've told me i have to wait 2/3 months at least to get a new one (if i were lucky). so, wrote to my brother in italy, explain him the fact, he gave me a police ispector contact: wrote to the cop, and two days later my authorization to a new passport was in bkk embassy...
plus, i have to collect brake discs and pads coming from italy and i have to attend to a bike rally in pattaya for the magazine i work for. so i should to be in chang mai on around feburary 20th.
what do you think, we'll be able to meet again?
