Peru
Charapashanperu,
Enjoyed your pix, thanks for posting them. I have some I'd like to post, but being stright out of the stone age I haven't figured it out yet! The main one was a LEO sitting my V-Strom in Lima. Seems they spotted us at a bike shop looking for tires and decided to check us out. When they found out we're on an aventure ride from Prudhoe Bay to TDF, they gave us an escort around town! My next contact with a Peruvian LEO cost me $10.00! After being run off the road by a bus passing a truck, I decided I'd tag 'em where I found 'em also. I passed a couple of cars crossing a bridge, then two more going up the hill. The LEO stopped me at the top of the hill and said that was an "infraction", but he would let go for $10.00. We still parted on good terms, laughing, and wishing each other well! Still looking forward to going back and visit some of the places in your post. |
