Taftan to Quetta
 

Hi

I'm currently in Esfahan and heading across to the Pakistan border in about 10 days. Got a couple of questions!!!

1. has anyone made the run from Taftan to Quetta recently and if so what is the petrol situation! I am trying to decide whether or not to try and get jerry cans for petrol etc, which I'd rather not do, or just risk it and get fuel on route!

2. What is the road like at present?

And 3... If anyone is in the area do you fancy meeting up to convoy the run to Quetta. Really not all that sure what to expect!!!!

gidday, myself and two mates on teneres are in yazd now, heading to the boarder on about the 14th aswell if you want to run a convoy let me know on my email.
we are heading down to the gulf on Thursday.

I did it a year ago and the roads were fine, although you'll probably notice a relative deterioration riding frome the west. Fuel of unknown quality is usually sold from drums by the side of the road at fairly regular intervals.

Got another problem now, on my way between Esfahan and Yazd and the clutch on the bike seems to have let go. Big floppy handle and no clutch at all. Got the bike back to Esfahan on the back of truck and now going to try and bleed the system to see if it was anything silly. If that doesnt work I am not sure what to do, KTM dealers are not to common!!!!!

Anyway, all being well certainly up for convoying but will let you know...

According to the guy who services my bike it sounds like the pison o ring in the clutch slave unit down by the gearbox sprocket. Hopefully fixable by yourself in sunny Esfahan.
