Turkey-Iran(24/10) Iran-Pakistan (20/11)

Hi

We are in Turkey now and heading to Iran then on to Pakistan. We expect to cross the border into Iran around the 24th of October, and then cross from Iran to Pakistan around the 20th of November.

If anyone is on a similar schedule it would be great to hear from you!

Our blog is at BrianandTanja | Brian & Tanja | Travel Blog if you want to find out a bit more about who you would be catching up with.

we just came through Iran we are now in Dubai as we could not get Pakistan Visa's.

WE are getting the bike to Nepal or India then continuing on to OZ. We should be in Nepal or India by the first week of November.

Iran is good fun to travel through but we had bike problems so didn't get to site see and take our time as much as we would have liked.

Let us know your route.

I think we'll be a bit behind you

We may catch up with you on the road at some point, but I think you'll be a couple of months ahead of us. We don't expect to get to India and Nepal until mid to late December. If you're still about by then we can hook up for a somewhere!

Silly(Oli), if you're out there...

When you do make it to Turkey, should we get t-shirts that say or did you choose the user name for a different reason! Looking forward to catching up with you, it'll be good to have a few bikes for the ride through Pakistan

Myself and two other guys are leaving England next week and should be crossing into Pakistan around the same time as you. Maybe we can meet up en-route?

Bureaucracy... it's everywhere, even here!

Apparently I can't PM until I have 5 posts!! Fortunately, this should be number 5. So I'll try that PM again.

We will probably be in Iran around then, and a few others potentially as well. Although, we may be a bit ahead of you. Keep in touch we'll see how it turns out.

When we get into Iran (internet access permitting) I will try and post our locations so we can try and get a few together for the first stretch through Pakistan.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
