Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events such as this one (18 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or
to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and

From Sydney to Cairns - November solar eclipse ride
Hey everyone!
I am travelling solo to Cairns to see the solar eclipse on the 14th of November this year. I will be taking the long way up. Instead of just riding straight up the coast, I'm going to make an adventure of it and travel west from Sydney, through the red centre and visit Uluru, then head back east and up to Cairns. On the way back I will ride South down the coast. I am estimating the trip will take two to three weeks of riding about 6 hours everyday. As far as accomodation goes and I am easy. I will camp, stay at grungy pub inns or splash out on hotels. Whatever the situation demands, I am ready for it. Who wants to come with? Or at least ride with me part of the way? I won't be taking my harley, it's too uncomfortable to ride for that amount of time, instead I have a DR650 lined up. Who ever wants to join me please let me know!

I am keen to travel. Have only done one trip to date, central coast to Tassie about 3000kms. Would need finer points and sort things with work etc. Happy to camp and do cheap accomodation as needed.
