Summer trip to Europe
 

I was hoping to take a trip to the continent this summer (first on a bike) and intended to ride northern Spain/Portugal although the price of the ferries is putting me off somewhat so looking where else to go and quite fancy the Balkans. I may actually ride down over a long weekend to Venice and leave the bike there with a friend and return later to take the trip in order to reduce time off work. I have not planned any dates yet but as the time draws nearer to fixing plans I’ve been thinking it would be nice to have someone to travel with. I’m not fixed on dates or even the Balkans but if anyone is of similar disposition and would like to team up you would be welcome to join me. I am an easy going mid forties chap on unsuitable 750 Sport Ducati and two weeks would be the maximum time away in one go which would hopefully include at least a couple of bike free days of leisure in the sun.

I was thinking the same and may be interested but was thinking about mid June for 2 weeks. Possible route could be Germany, Austria, Hungary and then Rumania circling back to the old Yugo and the Med then home via Austria and Germany and Belgium. I know Europe well as was Truck driver for many years over there so should not get lost, give me a PM and we can have a chat.
