Would have been great but I'm leaving Johannesburg in July and only have about 3 weeks. Planning for Namibia and Botswana. If you can leave July then we can hook up. I have to be back at work in August :-(

What vehicle are you using? Bike or 4x4? I am in Tanzania in and around October so we could meet up as I plan to head either north or south, still undecided on route

return trip end of Sept, for couple months tour in Africa

I did a 4 month bike trip from Cape Town to Kenya up east side then around Lake Vic. through Uganda and Rwanda and back south to Malawi then into Zambia, Namibia and back to SA, just returned a month ago. Fantastic!

Planning a return trip end of Sept. for a couple month tour probably from SA (where my 650 Dakar is stored) to Moz, Malawi, Zambia, Congo, Rwanda by ferry up Lake Tanganyka, maybe Uganda/Kenya or else back south through Tanz. Malawi, Zimbabwe, etc.

Cheers
Larry

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
