South America Cross-Continental Trip (June (25ish) 2014-March 2015)

So I'm planning a trip that will begin in Bogota, Colombia (flying in) and I will be spending a month and a half in Colombia and buying a 200/250cc dual-sport motorcycle over there while enjoying the world cup games with the rest of the country. I have family in two different cities in Colombia, and will thus be able to stay at their places for 2-3 weeks.
The rest of the trips revolves around driving through Ecuador and onto Peru, where I also have family members in various cities. From Peru -->Bolivia -->Chile-->Argentina-->Uruguay-->Brazil -->Venezuela -->Colombia

I plan to camp as much as possible, and drive by through the countryside more than staying in the larger cities. Hostels and couch surfing are other options that I'm looking at to lower the cost of the trip. I am fluent in Spanish (first language) and will have no problem communicating with anyone in the spanish speaking countries. I plan to spend more time in the countries with more to see (Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina) but I'm still working on a preliminary schedule. I am hoping to save a significant amount of money (6-10K) for this trip and hope that you might as well too. I'm dying to have this kind of experience and would be STOKED to have other fellow travelers alongside in certain parts/countries. Let me know if you're interested :)

Hiya-I am planning to fly south into Colombia about the same time, I am comparing the costs of shipping a bike down (F700GS) or buying one down there...Stay in touch, not sure I want to go to the World Cup, more interested in Inca ruins and vineyards south into Argentina and Chile....Not sure how long I will be gone, over a year.

Sweet! I plan to spend 2-3 weeks locating and purchasing a bike and around 3 more weeks exploring Colombia. In terms of watching world cup games, I meant watching them with the country(Colombia is ranked 4th in the world) and celebrating with them, not actually traveling to Brazil for the games. I plan to see the ruins and also travel through most of the Andes scenery in Peru and Bolivia. Ill keep in touch and as time approaches, we can finalize itineraries or meeting points along the trip.

Hey y'all,
I may be in your neck of the woods on some portion of my trip. I'm planning on going around North and South America, and I am still debating on whether I want to hit Brazil to experience the World Cup (US v. Ghana or US v. Portugal) or hit the Arctic circle around then. As things get more concrete, I'll let you know. Ride safe!

I will bring my bike Bogota by airplane July1 , stay about a month in Colombia, ( I have a many of friends there). A friend will come to from Colombia to Macchu Picchu with his girlfriend ( who is also my good friend) , also on his bike. Then from Peru I have noone to ride with until Jujuy or Bolivia , where I will meet a group of friends. Some will come back to Argentina. Then going to the cone of south america ( enjoying the low cost and high quality in Argentina ) and back to Colombia through where I will have set up a job already (through Brazil). I also want to stay in hostels and camp out also. It will be awesome!!! My schedule is very flexible. I can take 1 month or 4. Lets meet up!!!
