South America autumn 2006
 

Hi,
I'm an 44 year "old" male and experienced rider who have done some trips in Europe, India, Africa and China.
Now planning South America on my own or with company.
Plan is to send my bike to Buenos Aires Argentina in september, then going north to Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, south to Ecuador, Peru (maybe meet my girl friend for 2 weeks), Bolivia, Chile down south and back north up to Buenos Aires middle of december.
Interested and up for it or part of it?

Gingersi and myself are planning to start in early Sept 2006 in Venezuala. Were heading South through brazil and on no time scale or set route !!!

Im sure we could meet up somewhere on route.. Who knows !

My plans have no changed. Gingersi can no longer make it so im alone and looking for Co.

I'm going in december!

Sorry to hear that Simon cant do the trip.
I have a time limit and want to end my trip in south of Latin America in december, when my leave ends to go by air back to Sweden. Buenos Aires is the best start and ending point for me.
Starting in Venezuela up north in september seems also a bit hot.

I am in Toronto. Trying to plan a trip south. SA in Autumn '06 may work for us.

Will you be travelling through Ontario on your way to MX for the HU meeting in October?

yes, I will be leaving from Ottawa probably as that is where my bike is currently stored (no roads where I live).Probably leaving early October to make Creel, maybe stop for a bit in Nicaragua or Guatemala for some Spanish lessons, then to Columbia (thinking Panama to Cartagena), through Bolivia and Peru and to Chile or Argentina by Christmas, for which I may fly home to see family, then back to see some of Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and around Brazil maybe up to Salvador or Recife and be in RIo for Carnivale end of Feb....that is my very rough plan.

How''s that mesh with your plans and objectives?

Ottawa is do-able, as you will be heading south from there anyway. I'll keep an eye on this board and post as time-frame/plans begin to gel.
