Hi
I am but a couple months after you. I have a question through, from Europe it is best to leave at the end of summer to miss the rains and summer heat. however what about riding from Cape Town to europe via the west coast leaving in about March? What route are you taking?

North from South Africa to Europe

Hey Outthere, sounds wonderful. How about that, I am 58 also going on 18...and my R100 GS is proud of me.. Seriously I just did some riding in South Africa and Lesotho on a beemer rented from Capetown, but longing to get back there for an extended trip. I would either go all the way to Europe or do a circle through best of east and west Africa with Uganda my turning point, or if the mood hits me keep going for Europe. Would decide there I think. I have been to Uganda and it is cool.
I could maybe be persuaded to advance my trip a bit if you were looking at say a September departure instead of August...and ride with you at least half the way if not all the way...depending on what we could agree to on routes, etc. What say?
Larry

South Africa - North Bound

We have travelled fro Uk in 4x4 down East side of Africa and are leaving Cape Town early August to travel back up west side. It would be interesting to contact anyone else traveling that way - most people seem to take anti-clockwise route!

SA to Zambia 08

Hey ,

I am going on a mission trip to Zambia in May of 2008. I would like to rent bike and ride from JoBurg to Zambia thru Botswana, by Victoria falls, Ndola, Kiwe then on to the village of Zambezi. I would then ride back after a 10 day stay. Any Interest out there?
