Scotland to Estonia June/July

Hi folks,
anyone heading for Estonia
We (3 mates) are heading for Estonia in June or July.
We went to Sweden last year Via Holland,Germay,Denmark then over the bridge to Sweden. We made better time than expected so decided to jump a ferry to Estonia. We rode through Estonia,Latvia ect. all the way back to Ijmuden.
We just zipped through Estonia and the ajacent countrys and figured they needed more exploration. So this year we are going back to have a proper look.
Anyone interested in joining us.
My email is rory799@yahoo.co.uk.

Hey Rory

July 2nd this year marks the 10th anniversary of Joey Dunlop's death at a race in Tallinn, Estonia.
I would imagine there will be some sort of memorial service.
Should be worth a visit.

If you want to see where Joey Dunlop had his accident and the memorial that's there, just ask any taxi driver to take you to where the 'English' motorcycle racer is, NOT (as we did) the 'Irish' one, they get very confused. Tallin is a nice town and Riga is too (but flatter), check out the markets near the railway station in Riga, they are actually Zepellin sheds, well worth a look.

Trip up-date.

I’ve had several enquiries about the last available place, including one from a 17 year old with a provisional license and a sub 400cc trail bike.

Before emailing me for details please be aware of the preferred criteria for the trip.
  • A full license – because we sometimes use motorways.
  • Be a competent rider – ie, be able to control your bike in normal traffic.
  • Have a bike suitable for the trip – Prefer minimum 600cc.
  • Continental experience not necessary – A good trip for novice tourer.
  • The first person that pays for the last return ferry ticket (£120) gets it
Time is now getting short (we leave 9th June) so if you want to join us get in touch soon.

Hi Rory,

I'm actually riding out to Estonia (via Romania) from the UK, I'll be leaving towards the end of June and should be in Estonia about 18th July.

Any chance you guys fancy meeting up for some riding / swap stories??

Cheers

Ioan
