Rtw 2013-2014

I am riding from Seattle, Texas (El Paso), Mexico, Central America, South America, S. Africa, East Africa, Europe, Russia, and ending in S. Korea.

I am planning to start in February 2013, and finishing in October 2014. Lots of camping and excitement expected.

Anyone care to join in a part of the trip?

I am starting from Seattle, down to Southwest, to Mexico, Guatemala, to Panama, fly or take ship to Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, enter Peru through Puerto Maldonado, Cuzco, Lima, Equador, come down to Peru again, Bolivia, Chile..... About 6 to 8 months in central and south america,

Then about 4 months in Africa, 4 months in europe, and 4 months in Russia and far East.

Lots of camping..... Lots of visits to cultural and natural sites.

Thanks for the response.

You follow the same route, but not sure yet for all the Africa route...

Maybe you are more advanced than me (start soon) so do you have some tips and update informations about the shipment from South America to South Africa...

And do you have a blog or a website?

As to transporting my bike from South America to Africa, I plan to fly out from Buenos Aires to Capetown. There are posts in HU regarding that topic.

WOW! .. :eek3: .. That’s some awesome itinerary Karl.

San Francisco:
9) ?????

May I suggest Alcatraz Island? It's one of the very best American historical sites I've ever visited. The self-guided audio tour is exceptionally good.

Don't hesitate to give us a shout when you get into Europe and down to Cornwall (UK). I work in Penzance, which is another destination on your list.

All the best

Keith

Yes, I was at a meeting [+ dinner] with six others attending, including Tiffany, at a mutual friend's home here in Cornwall back in early April this year.

Good to know that you'll be traveling all the way down into the southwest of England, as most touring Americans tend to get only as far as Stonehenge .. and then turnaround! :rolleyes2:

It'll be great to meet you.

Cheers for now
