RTM30 - Egypt Explorer - October 2010
 

This is now in a go status, time off work approved, funds secured and wife rest her case.

The idea is to take my dear Wee Strom and do the Medeterranian loop (road) in 30 days, going clockwise stopping at Turkey, doing the highlights of Sirya and Jordan before hopping to Egypt for the second stop, then onto Libya (via Oasis hopefully) and ferry back from Tunis to Genova and back to sunny hertfordshire.

Hoping to dash through EU and get to Turkey in about 4 days, ride in Turkey for 5 days, and get to Aqaba in 4 days, and spend 7 days in Egypt (exploring :scooter:), cross Libya in 5 days, couple of days Tunis and 3 days to get home.

The above is approximishly of course and enjoys great flexibility.


Planning to do it on the cheap, but not the very cheap, so mixture of camping and okish hotels.

Looking to ride with other people, for all or parts of the route, maybe share the costs (carnet... etc) and the laughs of course.
